Considered by many critics to be the greatest Soviet science fiction film, Tumannost Andromedy is the story of the crew of the spaceship named "Tantra." While exploring an unknown part of the Universe, the Tantra becomes trapped by the mysterious "Iron Star," a powerful force of gravity that is able to hold the spaceship for 20 years. The crew must face a very tough survival challenge, being surrounded by the invisible predators that can eat human flesh right through the heavy spacesuit and only light can scare them away.
